This old thing

Do you ever go through stuff and wonder why on earth you still have "it"? At our house "it" proved to be all kinds of stuff. I discovered the boxes and instructions for 2 of my past cell phones. Why do I even keep them? They weren't all that splendid to start with and so are not resellable. I finally threw them away. We also found two of our old cameras. The first we bought when Sarah was born. What a beast! It's so heavy and unwieldy. We realized that although it does technically work we couldn't connect it to our computer anymore. Out it went. Alan went through a bunch of old Japanese stuff and decided he no longer needed to keep an Ensign and Friend magazine in Japanese that he brought home from his mission. He also bravely (and wistfully) threw away some computer games - Starcraft, Riven, and Mist- that our computer cannot read because of how very very old the software was. (Anyone with Windows '95?) It's amazing how much more shelf space we have now. We will surely find plenty of stuff to use it up and then in ?? years we'll start over and wonder why we still have it.
