I love to have something to look forward to. Today this is what I am looking forward to:
Far into the future:
Valentine's Day
For the Week:
1. Wednesday because I am going on a field trip with Dawn and Mom is going to watch the girls then I will get to visit with her too.
2. Friday because it is our date night (which just means that Alan hangs out with us and not the computer and I don't have to cook and we usually do something fun like play monopoly or go to a bookstore. Last Friday we had an unbirthday party. Sarah and I baked an egg-less cake and we went out to eat and the girls got to choose a small thing as an unbirthday present. Alan and I couldn't find anything under the $2 limit for ourselves as unbirthday presents but that's okay because we recently got a new TV and DVD player.)
3. Saturday because Alan will be home.
For the day:
When Alan gets home.
Family Home Evening.
When the girls go to bed
One should not assume by reading this that I don't enjoy the rest of my days because in fact I do. I love playing "get you" with Sarah and reading books to the girls and finishing my chores so I feel like I've accomplished something every day. I just like to have something to look forward to.

A walking update
So since I last posted that Emmie was taking steps she has taken none! She won't even stand. If I try and get her to stand she collapses her legs and refuses. If I do get her to stand against some furniture and try and get her to walk to me she just crawls. Oh well I guess she's just not ready yet.

Emmie's First Steps
Emmie took her first steps today! I don't know whether to be overjoyed or depressed. She finally realized that standing wasn't so scary and dangerous and then after that it was only a few more minutes before she was willing to take some steps toward Sarah and I. Sarah and I are so pleased...mostly. Now my baby isn't a baby!

I've got Potter on the brain.
I've got Potter on the brain. You might be thinking of my dumb dog but actually it's related to Harry Potter. I decided to read all the books in order and then watch the movies. I've been doing this during every nap time and after the girls have gone to bed. Naturally it has been taking the better part of 2 weeks. Yesterday I realized that every time I would think of Alan, he had the face of Harry. It would tweek me out a little and I had to consciously put Alan's face back on Alan. I guess maybe they do have some facial characteristics, but sheesh. Fortuanately I only have the last movie to watch and then I can drop that fad and move on.
