name?

Well it's like this. We were going to name the new baby Alyssa Marie but for the last month I've felt like she should have a name from a cool ancestor. It could be either a first or middle name but after researching the ancestors from my side we can't agree on any names. (We both like Amelia, but it's too close to Emily according to Alan.) Sooo we are moving on to new research. Do any of the Wessman's/Bergeson's have ancestors that did cool things?? It's not enough to know names, there must be a story or something known about the person that sets them apart somehow.

pretend this is ignatzesfreecycle

I'm sure Coralee sent me something so I could post to ignatzesfreecycle, but I can't find it or figure it out so I'm posting here instead. Up for free, with a minimum handling fee of one donut are:
1. A bunch of pot-holders, some of which are new
2. A bread maker, I need more space and I never use this.
3. Mixing bowls in a variety of sizes and made of various stuff, metal and plastic

the hitchhiker...

Alan lent out his hardbound copy of the complete Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe books. I have finished the first one and wish to read the others. Did he lend this to any of you?

Date ideas

Alan and I sat down Sunday and made new goals for 2006. Among them were to actually go on dates like in the olden days before our girls were born. We hope to do this once a month, not including the night we go to the temple. So total we could have 2 dates without girls a month. This means I have to cook every other Friday, a practice I'm not actually in. But it will be worth it if we can go out and hire a sitter. So the point is we came up with some potential date ideas; some of which we could do at home while the girls are occupied with something else (probably a baby einstein). Do you have anything that you might add to the list?
1. Cooking together- actually buying wierd ingredients we don't have on hand and cook a meal
2. Craft projects - not too girly
3. Walkies
4. Fine arts/cultural events
5. Read together
6. Play the piano together, duet style
7. Puzzles
8. Hikes- not for awhile I'm thinking
9. Drives
10. Planning/Brainstorming vacations we might one day go on

Documenting "The Process". Also it wasn't until I saw this picture that I realized how cool Coralee's hair was! Posted by Picasa

I love this look on Emmie. This was taken right before we went to church on Christmas. Sarah didn't actually wear the hat to church though. Posted by Picasa
