Emmie with her hair in piggies. This was the first time she left them in longer than 10 minutes. Posted by Picasa

It's not possible to not take advantage of a warm day and feed the ducks. Alas though, no ducklings. Posted by Picasa

a name?

We might have finally agreed on a name for the newest member or our family. We are thinking of Alyssa Mei. "Mei" is the Japanese spelling of May. May is the middle name of both of my great-grandmothers. Amelia May was grandma Phillis's mother and Rose May was grandma Paulsen's mother. Both have cool stories. Are there any "May's" on the Wessman/Bergeson side?

it's scheduled

Well today I had another doctor appt. and found out that my doctor will be out of town from the 11-20 of March. Yes, that would be the week I will probably go into labor. The baby is due the 20th so I scheduled the c-section for the 21st if I don't have her before. If I do go into labor I will get his partner whom I have never met before. Oh well. At least I will have a private room and bathroom this time. (Usually they put me in the surgical section of the hospital and I have to share a bathroom.)

Comments

Here are the comments I would have posted on your respective blogs if they had let me. First to Dawn: In regards to the picture of your belly and cute little feet. How is it that you can still see your feet and I can't find mine?? :) Second to Julie: Your social problems rampage is excellently written and I couldn't agree more although there is no way I could write it as well.

every week

I went to the doctor today and he said, "We'll see you every week now." WHOA. For some reason it caught me off-guard. It seems strange that I'm close enough to be going every week, and yet I'm uncomfortable and can't breathe and feel like I've been pregnant forever so I don't know why it seems so strange.

Sarah's finished mobile, with a pig in the middle. I had hoped she might choose a cute butterfly, ladybug, flower or some other feminine critter, but no she wanted a pig. Oh well. Posted by Picasa

I said, "Yes I will read you a book." I finished reading the news article I was in the middle of and came into the family room. On the couch was this pile of books Emmie had gathered and was adding to. She was sorely disappointed that I didn't read them all. Posted by Picasa

Painting the letters for the mobile art project. We painted them white first and then I instructed the girls to paint colored dots on the letters. Emmie eventually managed to paint the letters completely pink and purple. Posted by Picasa

At least one of them knows how to pose with a zebra. Posted by Picasa

"Hippo, zeba watch 'Tiger Movie'." Posted by Picasa

Suddenly she fell face down and started counting. We stopped in midstride and asked stupidly, "What are you doing?" She replied still face-down, "Hide seek." Posted by Picasa

one expensive mutt

Although we budget $30 a month for our mutt we only really use it every other month when we get him groomed. Grooming Potter ranges from 30-37 depending on the groomer and whether she had her prozac for the day. January was a whomping $198! First we got him groomed and then he ran out of dogfood. That is $18 every 3 months or so. Then last Sunday he mysteriously hurt his tail. We don't know how this happened except to guess it was when he was rough-housing with the neighbor dog in the snow. Anyway, on Monday he still wouldn't raise his tail up and so we took him to the vet. The $96 x-ray showed no broken bones. :) Good. But he did have some bruising and swelling where the tail attatches to the rump. So he got some anti-inflamitory pills, and a mild laxative so as to not hinder outside activities when it might otherwise be painful. He seems to be happier today and has even waved his tail a couple of times in a normal fashion so I guess it was all worth it.
